Right, so this is a brand new phone, just got it the 15th of June of this year.
Four times it has apparently stopped receiving text messages, but can still send text messages.
First time (perhaps 2 weeks after I got it) called tech support after taking out SIM chip/turning off phone/etc didn’t work
Said I had to either:
Switch SIM chip into another phone and switch it back into the phone
Factory Reset
Something else, I forget. Go to the store or something.
Did master reset, it worked.
Second time, a Saturday about a week later
Went to the store, had SIM chip replaced. Didn’t work. Did factory reset, worked again.
Third time, Thursday after the Saturday before
Factory reset, worked once more. Went to another AT&T store and had phone replaced last Saturday
Fourth time, tonight
Factory reset, still doesn’t work.
Turned off phone, doesn’t work
Removed sim chip, doesn’t work
You get my drift.
Relevant/Irrelevant information
-Not using any 3rd party texting app or anything…
-Apps that have been on all four times include draw something, scramble with friends, kindle, google books, google play store…
-Have unlimited texting so that’s not the problem
Same problem each and every time. Just randomly stops working.
